SSH502 - Social Action Research: People, Power, and Change
Olivia Chow will be teaching a full 39-hour course on community organizing this fall, from September - November. This is based on her successful pilot course in early 2017.

In this class you will learn all the essential skills someone needs to organize effectively, including:
-how to tell your story to motivate and recruit volunteers
-how to develop a strong theory of change
-how to choose tactics that have the impact you need
-how to structure your team for growth
-how to design volunteer tasks to develop new leadership

This course is based on Harvard Professor Marshall Ganz's Course, People, Power, and Change. It can be taken by general Ryerson Students and any member of the general public through the Chang School
