Do you have a desire to step up and fight for a better, fairer, more just world? This workshop is for you.
Based on the work of Marshall Ganz, this in-person workshop develops five core leadership practices:
- Tell your story to share your own leadership journey, connect with your people, and foster shared purpose
- Develop an effective structure that scales up as your movement grows
- Build intentional relationships rooted in shared values
- Develop realistic strategies based in a meaningful power analysis
- Design campaign tactics that grow your capacity while reaching for your goals
You will learn through lectures and small group activities that will allow you to practice these skills.
You will work with an experienced organizer, who will facilitate your group and help you plan your organizing project. You will finish the course ready to tell your story, with a developed organizing statement, and tools to plan your organizing project's strategy and tactics.
After completing the training, you will receive a certificate in Organizing for Social Change from the Institute for Change Leaders.
Dates and times
This training takes place on Saturday September 27th and Sunday September 28th, 2025 from 9am-4:30pm ET per day.
The deadline to register is Sunday September 21st, 2025.
Price
The regular price ticket is $499.00 including HST. A limited number of subsidized seats are available on a sliding scale.
Organizational tickets for $2000 (incl. HST) will grant access for 6 staff or volunteers who are already committed to working together on a campaign. This is a significant discount compared to a custom workshop.
