Dafina Maloku

Outreach and Communications Assistant

Dafina Maloku is the Outreach and Communications Assistant, completing her fourth year Bachelor of Social Work field practicum with ICL. Dafina holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications and Journalism and is passionate about advocacy and social justice. Her interests in social concerns evolve around women, children, and disability issues. In the past, Dafina has volunteered in a community agency related to immigration and settlement issues, where she also assisted with English-Albanian translations. Recently Dafina did voluntary work with adults with intellectual disabilities providing literacy sessions and social-emotional support. Dafina strives to maximize human potential and the fulfillment of individuals and family needs while fostering holistic and inclusive practices in the hope of creating pathways for equity access to opportunities. Her professional objectives include research, mental health, education, and social policy reform to improve the quality of life for all citizens. Besides that, Dafina is engaged in childrearing work/activities, spending quality time with her son. She also enjoys nature, art, especially cinema and music!
