Khadija is a textile artist and educator. Her first time advocating for policy change was by creating inclusive and safe spaces for young artists in her community, for which she was the youngest person to receive the Volunteer Toronto Legacy Award in 2015. She likes to create opportunities for marginalized communities that enable them to be the best versions of themselves, whether it be civic activists or creative professionals. She has been facilitating at the Institute since summer 2017.
The Institute for Change Leaders is brought to you by the Faculty of Community Services at Ryerson University
