How did the nonprofit advocacy group Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE) win Canada’s first ‘press shield’ law for the protection of journalistic sources?

Why are the early childhood educators in Peterborough, Waterloo, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Durham and Toronto organizing in local teams to press for decent work and affordable child care? What motivates them to continue even after their dream of universal child care recently was dashed ?

The Institute for Change Leaders provides training on community organizing and effecting social change. During our second year the Institute increased the number of students trained to 4000, recruited and trained over 30 trainers, and launched trainings in Niagara, Waterloo, Thunder Bay, Brampton, Peterborough, Ottawa and PEI.
