Olivia Chow will host a panel of seasoned activists and change leaders from the Black, LGBTQ+, Muslim, Jewish and Indigenous community to discuss their stories, experiences, the discrimination they’ve faced and how we can all come together in a community to combat this hate and move forward together, stronger than ever. It will be an incredible opportunity to listen, learn, and grow together as powerful change-leaders and allies. 

The panellists include:

• Farheen Khan - Farheen is a Canadian author, activist, and consultant of South Asian origin. In 2010 she published From Behind the Veil: A Hijabi’s Journey to Happiness, a memoir in which she discusses being a victim of an Islamophobic attack in Toronto. She is also the co-founder of the Women’s Mosque of Canada. 
• Bob Gallagher - Bob has a long history as a communications specialist, queer activist, political strategist and academic. He co-founded the Campaign for Equal Families and Canadians for Equal Marriage. Bob also helped found the Gay Lesbian Bi Youth Line and for years was a director of Buddies In Bad Times theatre.
• Cantor Cheryl Wunch - Cantor Wunch is a Toronto-Based reform Cantor passionate about Judaism. She is a fully licensed member of the clergy, with a Masters of Sacred Music and Cantorial Ordination. She is also a certified child and Youth Worker.
• Dawn Maracle - An award-winning diversity organizer, professional speaker and lifelong activist, Dawn Maracle is a Mohawk woman from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory who sits with the Bear Clan. Dawn is the CEO of SKYroots Indigenous Training and Education Institute, as well as the Executive Director of HOPES: Healing Our Peoples through Education and Social (Justice) Indigenous Training Network.
• Rizwan Tufail - Rizwan is one of the most experienced members of the ICL teaching team, having taken Marshall Ganz’s curriculum during a full-semester course while studying for his Master’s degree at Harvard’s Kennedy School in 2012. Rizwan teaches ICL's flagship Building Skills for Change workshop.
• Mark Thompson - Mark is Vice-Chair of the Forgiveness Project, a non-profit community outreach program, based in Toronto, working with youth and young adults around themes of forgiveness, restorative justice and conflict management.
