The good work of too many NGOs is not known outside of their base. This affects fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and campaign effectiveness.

The Institute for Change Leaders is excited to offer this customized workshop to help refine your messages, improve your individual presentation skills, and learn strategies to increase your profile and effectiveness.

The Fundamentals of Persuasive Public Speaking

Join communicator and activist Brendan Agnew-Iler to learn the fundamentals of persuasive public speaking. Through an interactive workshop, participants will learn how to deliver a message with clarity and impact, as well as how to respond to challenging questions both authentically and on-message. Participants will learn to see every communications engagement, from working with the media to public speaking, as an exciting opportunity to tell their story and win over support for their cause.

WHEN: February 26th, 2019, 6pm-9pm

WHO: Brendan Agnew-Iler, Director of Public Affairs at Argyle Public Relationships, former Senior Advisor for Toronto Mayor David Miller; joined by Olivia Chow.

Students who need a subsidy to attend can email [email protected] Subsidies are given based on need (income-based need, supporting the training of Indigenous organizers, being a student, etc.).
